Writing a blog post is pretty easy, but maintaining a blog is hard, when its not really the 'main thing' that you do, time is limited and your own incentives aren't enormously clear. (see "This website is not data-driven".)
A while ago, to try to write more and edit/redraft less, I had the idea of 'Unordered' posts - a simple collection of things that had caught my attention 1 without trying to find some sort of common theme or template, or segueing from one link to another. I'm not sure how successful it was, but I think the kernel of the idea is one that I like so I keep coming back to it.
The idea is that its just an unordered list; a nod to my nerd/web roots, an unordered list is an HTML element used for lists where the order does not carry any meaning or semantic relevance.

It's been too long (again) since my last "here's some interesting things worming their way around my head" update.
Another grab-bag of ‘things that caught my attention’.
A collection of things that caught my attention about Twitter blowing up, Taylor Swift blowing up the charts, Sim City blowing off parking, Amazon not really losing a trillion dollars, a book about The Beatles, the comedy of The Simpsons, and the fundamental importance of comedy.
A clear out of all the interesting links, ideas, drafts and news that I've been filing away. New year, New decade, fresh start and all of that...
Another grab-bag post of various things that have caught my attention.
